W75 Satellite

The W75 satellite (former Hotbird-3) was launched on September 2, 1997. In November 2009, it was moved to 75Е, where it will be deployed until it is replaced with the ABS-2 spacecraft some time in 2012. The W75 satellite is in inclined orbit with the current inclination of 0.9 degrees.

Today, Intersputnik offers its customers Ku-band capacity on W75. Resource is available at fixed and broadcasting satellite service frequencies.

Already at this point in time, the W75 satellite makes it possible to provide DTH, data and broadband access services in northern Europe, western and central Russia and the CIS countries such as Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan. Given the existing shortage of Ku-band capacity in this territory, this is especially important. In the future, any W75 telecommunications channels on can be relocated to the ABS-2 set for launch to the same orbital slot.
