Intersputnik and the Russian satellite communications operator Isatel Ltd. – a company of the Intersputnik Holding group – took part in the VIIth international exhibition and forum “Russian Infocommunications – XXIst century” (Infocom 2007) held at Crocus Expo on October 24-27 and sponsored by the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Information Technologies and Telecommunications. Intersputnik’s booth was visited by the Minister of the Russian Federation for Information Technologies and Telecommunications Leonid Reiman and the delegation of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications.

The joint exposition of the two companies showed a new package of satellite communications services offered by Isatel’s own multifunctional teleport about to be brought into use in Moscow.

The teleport is intended for the establishment of satellite channels and can also be used as a hub in a satellite communications network and for satellite uplinking.

The teleport is equipped with eight antenna systems. Four 3.8m antennas are used with the Express AM2 (80E00) satellite (Ku band), Express AM1 (40E00) – Ku band – and Express 3A (11W00) – C band. Isatel’s 4.8 m antenna is available for dual polarization Ku-band service in Spot 1 and Spot 2 beams on Intelsat-904 at 60E00.

An antenna is ready for the ABS-1 satellite (75E00) in C band. Also, Isatel is leasing satellite station resources from its partners (C-band 7 m and 5 m antennas) under several major projects. If necessary, all Isatel’s antennas can be pointed to any spacecraft with specific coverage and switched to Ku or C band.
