Intersputnik Signatories

The institution of Signatories was introduced in the Intersputnik Organization as set forth in the Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement on the Establishment of the Intersputnik International System and Organization of Space Communications. The Protocol took effect on November 4, 2002.

A Signatory is a telecommunications entity appointed by an Intersputnik Member, for which the Intersputnik Operating Agreement entered into force.

The procedure to be followed to be granted the status of a Signatory is as follows:

• appointment by the Member of the Organization with notice to the Director General of Intersputnik;
• payment by the appointed Signatory of the mandatory investment in Intersputnik’s Share Capital;
• signing of the Intersputnik Operating Agreement by such Signatory.

To date, the governments of eighteen Members of the Organization have appointed the following twenty-one Intersputnik Signatories:
